Taking care of our ecological footprint
Our purpose is to save energy, reduce rubbish and preserve nature:
We have only used digital x-rays for over 20 years. This reduces the radiation exposure for both the patient and the environment. In addition, there are no dangerous chemicals/lead foils used to develop conventional films, and no need to dispose of them.
For over 60 years, we have used durable glass cups for patients instead of single-rinse plastic cups. This has allowed us to prevent the use of more than 750,000 plastic cups over time. They can be cleaned, disinfected and reused over and over again.
We don’t use Amalgam. For removing old Amalgam fillings, we use a special filter for Amalgam.
We provide the option of metal-free restorations.
We use cartridge systems for anaesthesia instead of disposable syringes.
We take digital impressions using a scanner. This means no annoying impression material in the mouth, which is much more comfortable for the patient. It means no removal of material (cartridge, packaging, shipping, disposal), and no plaster models and their time-consuming disposal later.
Our in-house laboratory means we have shorter transport distances.
We use a sterile goods container instead of shrink-wrapping everything individually.
Preventing tooth and gum diseases through professional cleaning and regular check-ups is the best possible sustainable and natural solution.
Avoiding invasive treatment through targeted preventive health care in the mouth helps us protect natural resources by minimising the material necessary in our practice.
Wherever possible, we use digital data processing instead of paper.
Waste sorting.
We use LED lighting.
For cleaning, care and disinfection, we use environmentally friendly products and chemical agents that are as low as possible whenever it is possible.
